News from our Nurse, Mrs. Hauser
Lost & Found - Please Label Everything
There is ALWAYS something in our three red bins. When these bins are overflowing, we notify families on this news page at least three weeks in advance of the date when items will be given away. A volunteer parent comes in to check every item for a name and saves all hats and gloves before bagging everything else up. You are welcome to stop in anytime to look for your child's belonging(s). A fantastic parent also set up a Facebook page showcasing some of the lost/found needing to be claimed. Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/lostandfoundmv
Activity passes MUST be shown for admittance to each home event. Students without activity passes will need to pay to get in to the event. State-sponsored post-season athletic events (i.e. playoff/tournament games) always require payment for admittance for ALL students.
Kitchen & Associate Substitute List
Washington Elementary is looking for substitutes for kitchen workers and for classroom/student associate positions. The kitchen hours would be 10:30 AM-1:30 PM. The classroom/student associate position would be 8:00 AM-3:15 PM. Both of these are flexible positions and work great with school children's schedules. Please contact Denise Havill at 319-895-6251 if you would be interested in being added to our substitute list.
