Preschool and Kindergarten
If you have a child who will be five or four years old, before September 15, 2020, s/he is eligible for kindergarten or preschool*. If you want them at the Mount Vernon schools, please contact the Washington Elementary office at email@example.com or 319-895-6251. We would like the following information: child’s legal name and birth date, parent names, mailing address, email address and contact numbers. *If your child is in the current WE preschool program, s/he will be automatically signed up for round up.

Monthly District Newsletter
During the school year, from September through May, the Mount Vernon School District newsletter is distributed to Mount Vernon and Martelle residents through The Sun newspaper or The Sunlight flyer one time per month.
