MVFAA Needs Help Dec. 11 and 15
Our district's fine arts association has a couple of service opportunities for your family. High school students can volunteer for Pay-it-Forward hours. Please click here on fruit & cocoa to see the details on the following opportunities:
Babysitting Service and Fund Raiser on the 14th
Need to shop for the holidays without the kids or simply need break? Drop them off at "The Grinch Moving Night" for an afternoon of fun-filled festivities with the MVHS Student Council. Proceeds is for Families in Need. Click here on StuCo Babysitting for details. Forms are also available in the office.
Mustang Spirit Spectacular is February 1
PK through 8th grade students have an awesome opportunity to dance with our MVHS cheer team with an afternoon practice and an evening performance. Please click here on Spirit Spectacular to sign your child up by January 15. Forms in WE and MS offices too.
School attendance is one of the most important aspects of school success. Research confirms that regular attendance enhances student achievement and learning. Parents partner with MVCSD staff to encourage regular school attendance for all MVCSD students. Did you know that students who miss 18 or more days in a school year for any reason – just 10% – are considered chronically absent, which can hurt their academic achievement and put them at-risk of dropping out? The school day begins at 8:15 AM. Teachers take attendance at that time. To eliminate disruption and minimize the repetition of class instruction, please have your child in the classroom by 8:15.
Please keep your student's lunch account above zero.
Activity passes were sent home with those students who purchased them through registration. It is a requirement that these Activity Passes be shown for admittance to each home event. Students without activity passes will need to pay to get in to the event. State-sponsored post-season athletic events (i.e. playoff/tournament games) always require payment for admittance for ALL students.
